Overlooked GEM! Swift yet deeply felt. Jerry CRUSHES it.

Jerry's "line readings" are really something special here. I love how he would vary his melodies in the last few years, with such over-brimming soul. It gave rise to some of his most interesting vocal work, IMO. This is a great example.

^^^ So we get Jerry playing at 150%? Sweet!

For what it's worth, the 30 Trips copy of this show is off-speed/pitch. Needless to say, it sounds way better after it's been corrected. Here's a partial list of official releases I've found to be off-speed/pitch (in chronological order): Road Trips 2.2; Dick's Picks 22; Download Series 6; 5/2/70 (the CM remaster is at the right speed, and sounds better than the DP); Road Trips 1.3; Dave's Picks 3 Bonus; Road Trips 3.2 Bonus; Road Trips 3.2; Dicks Picks 11; Road Trips 2.3; Road Trips 1.1; Road Trips complete shows at Philly 11/79; Dave's Picks 31; Road Trip 3.4; Download Series 7; and Cornell '81 from the 30 Trips box set.

^^^ Actually, it's "We used to play for acid, now we play for Clive."
