Tons of fun - everyone's getting involved, including Keith with some nice flourishes. Jerry's solo is tight and the ending is superb.

I've always loved this song, particularly when it's uptempo and full like this version. The fire continues onto Mexicali Blues.

High energy and uptempo coming out of Mama Tried. The whole band sounds great, and Brent and Bobby provide a great rhythm section.

Great tempo and a nice friendly vibe coming out of Space. Some excellent playing by Phil. The energy continues onto Watchtower.

A fast-paced shred-fest of a Deal to close set 1. Jerry's solo can't be missed. So full of energy!

I like how Bobby catches himself here - "New Yor...uh...New England fillies." Yeah, us Heads in Maine aren't sure if Connecticut is in New York or New England either. ;D

Miles Davis' "In a Silent Way" is quoted during the transition between Drums and Space. It's a really neat interpolation!

Funny - this version's first verse and chorus are in the key of C rather than their usual key of A. The band switches back to A after that. My guess as to why they did this? Well, Promised Land is in C, and it kind of sounds like Jerry wanted to play Promised Land before realizing that they'd already played said track earlier in the show. So he quickly switches to JBG, then the band corrects after getting through the first bit of the song. Or...am I just imagining things?

??? What an oddly passive-aggressive response. People like what they like, man - all I'm saying. Don't overthink it.

Bummer about the slight messiness of the soundboard (even on the official box release) but the performance is superb. This one's a big standout coming right on the heels of a marathon Playin'.
