China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Great "Rider". Thing is, it kills me EVERY TIME during a CRAZY closing jam (before a cappella closing chorus)that Jerry doesn't take a 2nd pass and just plays a 24-bar, RIPPING solo. It cuts too quick. Alas, that's Jerry for ya'.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Oct. 14, 1994
Madison Square Garden

After downloading a matrix of this S-F, and listening with fresh ears for the 1st time in years, I've ^voted it. Love Garcia's singing in Scarlet ("Ain't nothin' wrong with the way she moves...") and the transition jamming is questing, endlessly melodic and good as any. The 1st "Fire" jam plods a bit, but the boys pick up the slack behind Jerry. The closing "Fire" jam is incendiary, just sick. Best of '93-'95 easily.

The 2nd set of this show kills. Begs for more attention. Epic "Dew", great "Miracle" jam, sweet "Wheel" and pre-drums "Playin'>UJB>Playin'" is very big too. This "Eyes" has some great, melodic soloing by Jer'.

Shouldn't be in #1 position. Best of 90s? Quite possibly. The tempo is very deliberate and it does move along really smoothly. It DOES have a bit of an "MOR" or "Lite FM" vibe to it, thanks to Branford's soprano sax. For me, I love listening to what Phil and Brent are doing to color the arrangement.

Easily in top 5 O1 of '93-95. Smokin' and what follows is even bigger!
