Truly proves there was some magic on every tour. The outro jam is unreal hot, with Jerry, Vince, and Bruce battling it out. Crazy stuff here!

Jerry gets really into it in the second half. Not lifechanging, but fun

Excellent, hard-charging version from arguably the best show of 87. Bobby stuttering all over the verses

Very solid version. Video shows Jerry present and very into it.

Dire Wolf

Winterland Arena

This song really benefits from the ethereal, wide-open sound that they perfected for these Winterland shows. Jerry's mid solo is beyond perfect - I hear Mission in the Rain too, not Crazy Fingers. That second phrase gives me chills.

Unreal peak. Feels like it goes on forever. Love the groove that Bruce locks them into at the climax of the jam.

Pretty Peggy O
March 14, 1981
Hartford Civic Center

“I said, will you marry me, pretty Peggy o” - lovely vocals from Jerry. There’s something special to his voice in 81-82. It preserves the beauty that shone through all the time when he was younger with a rougher edge - works so well on songs like this or a good Baby Blue.

Another superlative vince-era performance from this show - only thing I don't like is that Bob cuts off David Murray's solo, just like he did during Estimated. Really pisses me off, especially because Murray was clearly not done climbing to higher and higher peaks
