Surprisingly great vocals and awesome playing here. Very very strong version. Jerry introduces the theme out of Playin - wonder what inspired him. Only one of the year, and last one til 85.

Lots of sleeper versions in the 80s. Love the 10+ min ones like this - coked up and tripped out. Bob's contributions are just as hot as Jerry's. Great Crazy Fingers after

I agree with iknowyourider that this version is a little overrated. I think a big part of these 94 and especially 95 versions being so high is that 1. More heads who post here were there and 2. These versions certainly are triumphant for the era. I have no problem upvoting this one because Jerry’s playing is strong and it’s a solid version, but agree that OBJECTIVELY it should not be higher than say, 9/4/91 or 10/6/84.

Don't think this is Vince's best song - long way to go home is head and shoulders above it - but Brent's material was overall much worse than Vince's. Vince wasn't an amazing singer, but he was pretty good, and he sang better than anyone else in the band...

These spring 94 shows are overwhelmingly solid, and well-played throughout. Harder (but certainly not out of the question) to find transcendent moments. I view this tour as a continuation of fall 93; Jerry's playing was FAR stronger here than it was by Summer 94.
