Nice Playin'. Jerry finds a few good riffs. Not usually a fan of late era playins, as Jerry's speedy playing is so integral. He plays pretty well here

Picture perfect. Soaring leads from Jerry and crashes exquistely back into the verse

Hot Playin>China Doll>Playin. Long and exploratory on both ends, especially for 84.

Very hot tour opener. Jerry's playing is excellent. This show is the only good one from this weird little run in Colorado.

Shockingly good. Only good things to say about the Boston Garden run from this tour. These first few nights allayed fears after awful summer tour.

Was listening to this show today and this was the first time I didn't skip this song after Estimated. Honestly, Vince's voice is perfect for this kind of straight-up rock and roll song. Brent and Vince, I feel, shouldn't be portrayed as such disparate characters. The way Vince wrote songs that "didnt jibe" with the Dead's vibe, so did Brent! In fact, I'd hazard that this song was probably more fun to play than Far from Me or Easy to Love You, and is a better straight-up rock and roll song.

Honestly I love Vince on New Speedway in the 90s. His high harmonies really clicked and added some spookiness to the song IMO in a way that Brent might not have been able to

Lots of nice Jerry riffs here. Really heavy version. Should be higher
