Nice Playin'. Jerry finds a few good riffs. Not usually a fan of late era playins, as Jerry's speedy playing is so integral. He plays pretty well here

Picture perfect. Soaring leads from Jerry and crashes exquistely back into the verse

Hot Playin>China Doll>Playin. Long and exploratory on both ends, especially for 84.

Very hot tour opener. Jerry's playing is excellent. This show is the only good one from this weird little run in Colorado.

Shockingly good. Only good things to say about the Boston Garden run from this tour. These first few nights allayed fears after awful summer tour.

Also: I would rather listen to this version than any 70s version.

Yeah this is one of those weird summer 94 tunes that is genuinely fantastic. He does invoke that godawful octave pedal in the middle of the jam but it's saved by some shredding at the end. Summer 94 is pretty much universally panned, and for good reason, but there's some good stuff, like this show's BEW and Cassidy, the Deer Creek PITB and Help Slip Frank, and the Buckeye Lake show. Definitely think that July 1994 was the worst Jerry's playing had ever sounded; majorly worse than on spring tour that same year. What the hell happened from March to July?

Mid solo is definitive IMO

Never been a huge fan of Lady With a Fan post 1978 - Jerry's voice doesn't cut it for me. This is still an excellent version, and the outro + MLB jam is unbelievably fantastic. Worth a vote for sure.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower

Horrendous transition out of Slipknot. Ruins the whole thing imo. The version from 3/30 is much stronger, which the Dead must have known as it's featured on Without a Net.
