Not Flashy, Just Exactly Perfect Though

Great energy, playing on top of their game, love that it's the opener, Help - Phil rocking, timing perfect with 2 drummers providing layers instead of duplicate beats, Keith playing well - this is a long satisfying version. FT - Jerry just dancing on those strings, like Robin Hood and his merry men in the forest. Again, drumming and Phil providing just the right flow for Jerry, Bob and Keith. Funny, I think this show has one of the best Cassidys and one of the best - and the most countrified- Bertha and the best Brown Eyed Woman.

Very strong indeed. They just kill it with the relaxed precision - just exactly perfect. This version benefits from the orchestral sound of '87-'90 Mydland-influenced GD. Sometimes it worked really well. This time - bullseye.

This version trips along nicely. Jerry's guitar on target, clean when it needs to be and emphatic at the end, singing passionate and controlled. Donna sounds great - haunts the melody nicely. Seems they were deeply in synch on this, without really trying, kicking off with a bang.

Passion is everything in this song. This is a magical version - I have to give it my vote. Bill is really on it. So are Phil and Bob - Bob's all over it. And Jerry is feeling the song from all angles. Quintessential Dead - take a folk song and make it soar into the electrical sky and gain even more meaning.

This one sings, swoops, hollers, lullabyes and just rolls along. Such a nice journey.
