Such a terrific, full throated, yet tender effort by Jerry with some fluid and passionate guitar work. But I cannot get used to the caterwauling effect around 9:16. Otherwise absolutely gorgeous. And I actually like Donna on Scarlet Begonias - she adds a lot sometimes.

I was at this show long ago and remember the band having fun, feeling its power, even after many hours. Had the audience swaying, rocking, and didn't miss any notes found some new ones.

totally excellent, almost jaunty, version. it jumps. interesting contrast with spacy/country-soul style 5/9/77. both superb.

really good version. everyone at peak form. have to disagree that 1st 2 choruses of SB solo are sloppy. seem almost meditative to me, but very much in control. remainder seems to be jerry reaching up and down the neck for something new. his control returns in the very beautiful tail jam> transition. they just had it right that night for this kind of smooth and transcendent rendition
