Looks Like Rain

The Spectrum

This is what LLR is all about -- silky harmonies with Bob and Donna at one of their vocal peaks, and Keith filling it in -- understated and exquisite.

Really laid back beginning out of Iko Iko, but Jerry's solo is somehow simultaneously fluid, mellow, AND intense. Superb finish, too!

If you like 3-18, you'll like this one, too; some vocal flubs, but the groove is perfect.

Promised Land

Horton Field House - Illinois State University

A decent Promised Land till the end, when the band just hits another gear completely, kicking off a superb show.

Lyrically tight, good contributions from everyone, very focused.

Sugaree

Winterland Arena

This whole show is underrated -- it is a complete rocker from start to finish. The Sugaree here rivals 3-18, 5-19, and 4-29 for just exactly right, in my book. Splendid version, thanks for the tip KLAUS.

This one is very good, with Keith's experimentation on the polymoog adding something unexpected. Fires up to a nice crescendo as well. Worthy of a much higher place here, agreed.

Indeed. Unjust. Upped.

Brilliant pacing. Rivals any of the top dogs, for sure. Also, my new #1 for all-time, for now.

Ignore the naysayers. This is a masterpiece in a league of its own. Listen and melt.
