Country rock pulsing with jazzy energy. One of the most exciting pre-hiatus versions.

Fierce yet loose. Lots of fun is being had and it's infectious.

A little extra mustard on this one.

Uniquely satisfying. Bob and Keith lock into a mind-meld that leads Jerry in some interesting directions.

Unique, trippy energy on the intro. Mellow vibes throughout.

Pretty Peggy O
May 5, 1977
New Haven Coliseum
Some of the slower/monotonous songs can present challenges, especially when it comes to getting the whole band on the same page. Not here. Everyone is in sync and Jerry is on fire, rendering a gorgeous version that soars above others on all fronts. This is the GOAT right here.

Bob's guitar work here is brilliant.

As slammin' as Jerry's main solo is, the final break features some gorgeous, subtle Bob-Jerry interplay that absolutely can't be missed. Stunning version.
Wharf Rat

Capitol Theater
For my money, this is best-jammed Wharf Rat there is.
The Music Never Stopped

Capitol Theater
I dig what Keith is throwing down alongside Bob's Descending chord progression on the big jam.
