Felt Forum, Madison Square Garden

Lyrically precise, energetic playing, and everyone sounds like they're enjoying themselves. What more could you ask for on this one?

The Palestra, U. of Rochester

The shorter versions need love to, and this one hits all the sweet spots.

Fun and thunderous, this version has some great grooves.

Clean and confident reading with lots of personality from Phil and Vince.

Eyes Of The World
May 4, 1979
Hampton Coliseum

The transition jam is one of the smoothest rip cords I've ever heard, and the Eyes itself features some very heady picking from Jerry + Phil Bombs a-plenty. A good version to check out when you're looking for something off the beaten path.
Terrapin Station
Dec. 31, 1978
Winterland Arena

It may not head into any transcendent jamming, but that's not really what this show is about. Instead, they render a nearly note perfect, rousing rendition of this epic that leaves nearly all other Keith-era versions in the dust. Easily the best until Spring '90, IMO.
Ramble On Rose

Winterland Arena

A few steps beyond Just Exactly Perfect. Jerry's main solo is hair-raising stuff.
Row Jimmy
Sept. 16, 1978
Sphinx Theatre

Easily Weir's best slide work of the 70s. The general vibe of these Egypt shows lends itself so well to Row Jimmy.

Upvoted for the ladies absolutely hollering at Bobby for the duration of the song. He must have had his Mojo working overtime that night.
