Can't believe this isn't here! All around one alltime best underrated show. Too many highlights, but around+around stands out as the absolute gem.

Yeah, dick's picks 2, AWESOME. great sounding recording too. Jerry's guitar sounds a bit different than I have ever heard on this night, wonder if he was using a different amp, or if they mic'd it different or what, Keith's piano is superb as well and always sounded great in late 71 if you ask me. I agree with Jack straw, the whole NFA>GDTRFB>NFA is as good as it gets.

used to have a tape of this show from an fm recording, i think it was the best source I ever heard and I've downloaded about 5 or 6 copies from tree. I think I kept a matrix version. Incredible show, and yes, this NFA stands apart from all others, it is definitely the most insane version ever played. I do love the groovy ones though(3-18-77). If I am not mistaken this is also the longest version. ??

Gets my vote (ok, because Duane Allman joins em later this night for BIODTL, sugar mag, and it hurts me too, make me a little biased about this show because I love Duane about as much as Jerry). I had this show on a 3 record unofficial bootleg way back and the sound was great. I think it was probably made from the same source which i believe charlie miller transferred a while ago. Phil's bass is loud and clear, the drums and cymbals are perfectly mixed, bob's guitar is too, and pig's organ is the only thing thats maybe a bit low, maybe not. This version is SWEET, Jerry's voice is.... yeah... The it hurts me too is also one of my favs.

Wow! for lack of finding a better word, this version is huge. lots of good interaction/interplay between all the instruments. and some trippy distortion and delay thing going on thats takes it to another level in one of Jerry's solos. And is that with Bruce AND Vince? Definitely a psychedelic heady version.
