Bird Song

Red Rocks Amphitheatre

No spine-tingling moments but very good overall with interesting jam.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
May 3, 1991
Cal Expo

Music plays Hornsby and band as all are on point and with abundance of energy.

Brown Eyed Women
April 30, 1977
The Palladium

Heading into May '77 on a high note. Extraordinarily locked-in with every member top-shelfing it.

Promised Land

Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

Solid if unspecatcular until last line "Los Angeles, Norfolk..." where Garcia searing vocals then searing guitar! Lesh and crew raging also..

When I Paint My Masterpiece
Aug. 11, 1987
Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Interesting as sure sounds like violin. Jerry's tone sounds little bit like Robbie Robertson. Phil lots of heady goodness.

Playin' In The Band
March 14, 1982
Recreation Hall - University of California

Stellar jam. Brent turned up and on. Devils at rapid pace and really dig how rest of band not only keeps up but all manage to contribute to an excellent version.
Samson and Delilah
March 14, 1982
Recreation Hall - University of California

If looking for slower plodding version this is most definitely not it!
Its All Over Now
July 8, 1987
Roanoke Civic Center

Probably wrong but seems like the hesitant start may be due to drummers setting a different pace than usual. But once band gets it it's a solid version.
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
Nov. 20, 1973
Denver Coliseum

Sweet indeed as Mississippi Half-Steps right up into Dire Wolf.
Promised Land
Dec. 5, 1981
Market Square Arena

An (the?) audience version (listening to on gdradio.net) is for anyone who wants to feel like they're in attendance in enthusiastic audence and yet still hear all members in nice mix. Yeah, Jerry and crew are full on high gear here. Hot damn!
