This is an incredible, unique, fast-paced version. Bob's singing is superb and Phil's bass playing is lickety-split in the best possible way.

Incredibly high-octane version from a great show!

Ramble On Rose

This Rose takes a perfectly rambling pace--but Keith!! He does this little lead-in/up note at the start of most lines that puts a spring in her step!

Groovin', hard-rockin' version. Not every song in this show benefits from such applied heat (such as the immediately prior Ramble on Rose) but this one sure does. A real stand-out from this great show.
Loser

I usually prefer the austere, pared down versions (like 2/21/71) of Loser. But this one succeeds fabulously at upping the drama and tension. And, as with everything else at this show, Keith's contributions are wonderful.

A great version! Jerry's soloing is as good as everyone says it is--but listen also to Bob, whose sly, funky rhythm playing is more prominent than on most other versions and really gives this the best groove.

An extraordinary DS. Seems the most Beethoven-like version to me--and that's meant as very high praise! The dynamics are from mountain to butterfly--and the forward propulsion never lets up, even in the slow and delicate sections.
