Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
Oct. 8, 1989
Hampton Coliseum

I gotta say that this is IMO a 'symbolic' pick, because it's not an outstanding version! It just isn't...
Cassidy
Aug. 3, 1982
Starlight Theatre

Definitely a Major version! That being said, Bobby does that thing he does, when the jam is really kicking and he tries to end it prematurely....They're in a serious jam and I don't need video to see that Bobby was giving the wave to wind it up, and it feels forced and unnatural, if not for this, I put it in the top 3 all time for sure.
Tennessee Jed
Dec. 16, 1978
Nashville Municipal Auditorium

THIS RIGHT HERE, IS THE BEST JED They ever played! It captures the spirit of the song better than any other, and yes, I've listened to them all...Frost 82 has an incredible solo yes, but Jerry's voice went back and forth throughout the early 80's especially between froggy and croakey, and Jerry was a little froggy for Frost, still near the top O the Hill...Way too many people pay too much attention to Jerry's vocal 'changes' and think that 82-85 was less than, when in fact the high points of this time was as great as anything they've ever done...and you must get the audience (no sbd avail) from this Nashville show, definitely one of the BEST aud tapes you'll ever hear..
Let It Grow
Sept. 11, 1982
West Palm Beach Auditorium

This version of Let it Grow is INSANE, this is an overlooked show for some reason and if it were more well known, people would be mad for this entire show, the Scarlet>Fire is a masterpiece, it's so alive and raw, being Florida in 82 I'm sure the cocaine was flowing hard core...if anyone ever reads this, pick up the matrix from the archive...Matter of fact if anyone ever comes down this far and reads this, email me and I'll give you access to an archive full of dead downloads tomrey815@gmail.com
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Nov. 26, 1982
Montego Bay Freeport Zone

This was NOT a great Scarlet>Fire, this wasn't even a good S>F...I know what happened here, someone put it up on this list and then people saw 'Jamaica' and based on that alone they gave it an upvote! because they wouldn't have if they actually listened to it, these Jamaica have been known for years as being very sub par. People are strange...
