Best Acoustic version I've heard from a lesser appreciated show...Jerry's vocals are spot on and very and some very nice soloing. Tops any Warfield

A very consistent version of a song they had a hard time with live. Better than any Warfield version I've heard.

New Speedway Boogie

Studio- Wally Heider

Unknown date, released on the "Fallout From the Phil Zone" cd. The performance is on par with any of these, and the sound quality smokes them all.

Veterans' Memorial Coliseum

Very nice vocal performance

Dark Star

The Spectrum

Maybe not better than Veneta, they're so different...but for three different feels with near perfect execution I'd say this one, Veneta and Live/Dead are the 3 desert island Dark Stars...amazing stuff

Family Dog at the Great Highway

Very nice one for the earlier Dark Stars that started with the guiro scraper. Surprised it's not further up on the list.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Providence Civic Center

Sweet Lord yes. Still a shame about those crappy '73-'74 vocal mics they were using, but that's splitting hairs. This site has done wonders for my Dead collection. Not so much for my work productivity, but for my Dead collection...beautiful things!
Doin' That Rag
Feb. 28, 1969
Fillmore West

Most vocally solid version of a song that generally sounded pretty bad live
Eyes Of The World

Roosevelt Stadium

Yeah this is the one...but man, what's up with those crappy vocal mics they were using in '73-74? Sounds like they're singing through a walkie talkie on almost every show
