One of the more languid takes on this one. Although Jerry's voice is shot, it works. Notable for 2 runs through the solo, both of them stellar.

Explosive jam makes this one a bit unique. Not as smooth and complex as some later versions, but synergy and chops by all.

Smokes from head to tail. No SBD, or this would be top 5 with ease.

I fully expect this one to rise in popularity once the BBD arrives.

Nice AUD has Jerry up front. Great solo in SB, transition is interesting, with nice cascading riffs, followed by a Hot FOTM.

To put a finer point on it, In context of the year, I think the FOTM is top notch. 11/30's Fire is a pale imitation of this, though I find that Scarlet superior in every way. The outro is one for the ages.

The first 4 minutes of SB is a soup sandwich. Including the solo. This is bottom of the the '77 barrel for me.

^^^ I'm here to serve. Yes, this one is great, especially the Scarlet Begonias. Bruce OWNS this, although the band is in the zone as well. The intro to FOTM is slick, and everyone contributes nicely,… Wait a minute, is that an ACCORDION!? the Horror.... Not really, I think it actually works. IMO, the first jam is a bit tepid and too short, along with the outro jam. The second Jam is just gorgeous, and i see where it could carry this to being the #1 pick for “91. I think it is in the top tier for the year, but find 2/20 to be the most underrated of the bunch. If you like the feel and structure of this, try 10/19/1990, for a similar styled version with an absolutely gorgeous full band jam on the second break of Fire. It also suffers some of the same issues that I have with this one. 8/10. S - 4.5, F - 3.5. If I ever assess/award a 10, I'll need to change my drawers, it'll be that good.

Some initial sloppiness is soon forgotten. no SBD, don't let that deter you. I think it deserves far better company. +1

Glad someone mentioned the solo in Scarlet. It's top notch. For the length, it remains interesting and flowing throughout. It deserves its spot near the top.
