One of the more languid takes on this one. Although Jerry's voice is shot, it works. Notable for 2 runs through the solo, both of them stellar.

Explosive jam makes this one a bit unique. Not as smooth and complex as some later versions, but synergy and chops by all.

Smokes from head to tail. No SBD, or this would be top 5 with ease.

I fully expect this one to rise in popularity once the BBD arrives.

Nice AUD has Jerry up front. Great solo in SB, transition is interesting, with nice cascading riffs, followed by a Hot FOTM.

Not a bad hill to die on! I agree that this one is underrated, due in part to the bar being set so high in the May '77- Feb'79 era. Which is it's peak, IMO. Also, the show isn't as common as a lot of the others listed above it. The midsection jam is one of the best of the year, which is saying something. Try 11/23/78 for the midsection jam, although its sloppier and only exists a AUD. +1

10/10/1980 - Jerry runs through 1 Chorus of the solo at the bridge from 2:19- 2:52. I don't think there is another. Occasions where the 5th verse is skipped are too numerous to mention. 1/31/1978 - 5th Verse after solo, never heard that before.

Boy Fucking Howdy.. Keith and Jerry have a relentless duel in the second break, with Bob chiming in a bit, too. +1

Great solo here, although JG's vocals haven't fully recovered from his laryngitis earlier in the week. I think it deserves to be much higher on the list.

Vastly. The solo isn't as hot as as 2/3, but I find the Scarlet transition is as good or better. Jerry kicks on the mutton at about 8:30 and buzzes away with great tone and melody. The FOTM is pretty good, too. The heat comes in the first break and the outro, IMO. Nothing after 9/91 is in the same league.
