19 minutes of seething acid psych blues. In this era Jerry sounded like he used barbed wire for guitar strings, perfectly suiting the rough and ragged playing which has aged much better than a lot of the stuff cherished on this forum.

Primal psychedelia. Jerry's voice is still strong and they don't feel the urge to play too many notes giving this a sense of space and eerie beauty. Not on the ultra short list of Dark Stars, but a good example the variety and consistency they could deliver when they were on their game (e.g. no way the 1989 Dark Star is better than this just because it was your first dead show, etc.).

Ugh. Cheesy digital keyboards, Jerry's voice is shot, drum machines, and there is that weak quasi reggae rhythm that infected so much latter day dead. When you up vote this one, no wonder your kids don't think you're cool.
