Jer's voice and guitar full of passion. Brings it all back home after a great stretch of tasty jams.

Pretty but Powerful. Donna sounds great this whole Summer but the boys bring the punch here, too, especially toward the end.

They're definitely still making their way around a new song here but Jer's vocals are some of the best I've heard on a Stella, despite not hitting the "gonna make 'em shine" phrase in the bridge. Underappreciated.

Love Garcia's vocals on this version. Really feeling it.

Performances like this one really make me wish the Dead could have found a way to stick with Bruce as their sole keyboardist after Brent. I know, the high harmonies, but...

Listening to this show now and shocked there are no votes for this Stella here. Coming out of a rollicking post-space-post-Olin Arageed Iko-Iko>Women Are Smarter that featured members of the Neville Brothers, Jerry leads the band on a version that captures much of the emotion of sparser, 70s-era Stellas, but with a shreddy middle guitar solo. I don't always like that in Stella. I usually prefer the cleaner, more-melodic solos but it fits here. His vocals are spot on and filled with passion. Worth a listen (along with the rest of a very very good show).

With the band gaining steam after the hiatus and rolling toward the banner year that was 1977, this beautiful Stella Blue features nice interplay between Keith and Jerry on the first solo and everyone coming together nicely for a passionate outtro jam.
