Grateful Dead - Dupree's Diamond Blues
Below you'll find a user-submitted list of the best Grateful Dead Dupree's Diamond Blues.
Opener for one of the best shows of 69 which means one of the best ever.
the perfect version. like a carnival song
Outstanding version with a nice Jerry-led jam early in the tune, after the first verse.
I think they had a monkey with an organ grinder for this one.
lost in the ether type jams here..sweet as bubble gum!
Can't beat this one. Played w/out a hitch, Jerry nails all the lyrics, and when it's over Phil says: "And that's a true story, folks!"
A strong version of a song that hadn't been played in years.
Another great version from 1969. Very clean version.
last version, great energy, playin
This begins a set that goes Dupree's, Mountains->Dark Star->St.Stephen->The Eleven->Lovelight->Cosmic Charlie. Each song is a definitive version.
Great early version sung with conviction and clarity, backing has that cool psychedelic circus feel to it.
You got to admit that that sweet, sweet jelly's so good
Jerry takes charge and the levels are excellent, and--oh yeah--it's acoustic (at least sounds it, but I haven't checked sources to confirm).
