Early, raw fast version. It's the '71 line-up, stripped down and loud. Only time they played it without Keith, too!

Real nice funky swing provided by mr Lesh, excellent vocals from Jerry and Donna Jean, a real crisp clean version with EXCELLENT Jams

Briskly paced but totally tight and emotionally present from start to finish. Jerry's on fire this whole show (best of 1987).

Crowd responds to this version very favoribly so much so that both Lesh and Garcia say "Thank You" after it.

While I prefer the 1977 BEWs overall this one is excellent for its speed & precision & Jerry nailing all the lyrics w/ gusto! Don't overlook this gem!

I can't believe this version isn't here. So emotive, Jerry's voice is unlike anything I've heard, gives me the chills every time. Just beautiful.

Smoking hot a song they just had dialed in in 1972. Blistering guitar from Jerry really a great version.

Dec. '72 turns out to be a nice little peak for BEW. Perfect shuffle, air-play tightness, great soloing, just enough country. Bobby nicely audible.

How has this not been submitted yet? Listen to Keith go at 4:20. Jerry’s tone in the first solo while the others are keeping it warm.
